VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers do the majority of the work at the Botanic Gardens.  Thursday morning is the time most of us meet to carry out routine tasks and interesting jobs such as area maintenance, mowing, planting, fertilizing and mulching, weed and disease control, feristalling irrigation, building projects and garden construction.
It is a fun time and no particular skills are required.  If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer, we would welcome you.  We have many areas that need someone to 'take on' as their special interest.  Contact the Manager or Curator or just turn up anytime between 7.30 and 12 noon on any Thursday to meet us.  Bring along a thermos of coffee and join us for morning tea. You will find us a really welcoming and friendly group of people.
The 'Potty Potters' meet Wednesday and Thursday  mornings and work in the two small propagation nurseries we have at the Gardens.  No prior knowledge is required and the 'Potters' have great fun striking cuttings, potting-on, labelling and selling the plants.  They would welcome additional help.

For further information contact the Manager, the Curator, or just drop in.
